The mountain spirits look at the “Gran Becca”

The new “Gran Becca” run, which is particularly spectacular due to its geographical location and has the Matterhorn as a fixed point, can become a new classic in downhill skiing. In this context, our columnist Sigi Heinrich recalls the history of great alpine achievements on skis (including by the South Tyrolean Hans Kammerlander) and also the first ascent of the Swiss landmark.

It is one of the most famous mountains in the world, a landmark of Switzerland and basically the mountain that ultimately became a place of longing for many mountain lovers thanks to its dramatic first ascent: the Matterhorn.
