Nine South Tyroleans travel to Sölden

Those responsible for the men's giant slalom group, led by Claudio Ravetto, have nominated ten athletes for the start of the season on the North Tyrolean Glacier. With Florian Eisath, Michael Gufler, Christof Innerhofer, Manfred Mölgg and Alexander Ploner, five South Tyroleans made it into the squad. They will tackle the first giant slalom of the season on Sunday, October 23rd at 9.45:12.45 a.m. The second round is scheduled for XNUMX:XNUMX p.m.

The women officially opened the 2011/2012 World Cup season the day before. Women's head coach Raimund Plancker is using the four local athletes in the giant slalom, among others: Lisa Agerer, Denise Karbon, Manuela Mölgg and debutant Anna Hofer. The giant slalomists have canceled their preparation in Pitztal due to the weather conditions and will travel to Ötztal next week to carry out their final training sessions on site.
