No breaks: easy all-clear for Kilde

Aleksander Aamodt Kilde, who had a serious fall on the Lauberhorn descent on Saturday, underwent surgery in Bern (SUI) that same evening. Contrary to initial diagnoses, the ski star did not suffer any fractures.

The Norwegian Ski Association did not provide any precise information about the injury, but in an initial statement the Scandinavians announced that Kilde had not suffered any fractures. After the fall, the worst was feared; on ORF there was talk of an open fracture of the lower leg.

On Sunday morning, however, there was a slight all-clear. According to the association, Kilde “only” has a deep cut on his lower leg. He also suffered a dislocated shoulder, according to Norwegian team doctor Marc Jacob Strauss. Kilde is still in the Bern hospital. The association will only announce exact details about the ski star's injury later.
