Ski baby: An Olympic champion in family happiness

With the boards under his feet, the Norwegian winter sports star has won almost everything there is to win. Now the Viking celebrated another successful experience privately.

On March 5, 2022, Kjetil Jansrud ended his illustrious skiing career after a home race in Kvitfjell. Since then, the Olympic champion and world champion has devoted himself to his family - and with great success. He recently celebrated the birth of their second child, Iben, with his wife Benedicte Isabel Mortensen and his daughter Frøya, who will be three years old at the end of July.

“Our family is doing well and we enjoy life together – the four of us. Frøya is a proud big sister”. With these words and several snapshots of the healthy mother/child duo, Jansrud announced the new addition to his house. For this he received countless congratulations in the comments, for example from his former ski colleagues Aksel Lund Svindal, Nina Haver-Løseth and Tina Weirather.

The now 37-year-old Norwegian doesn't let anything go wrong in his life. Just last summer he came to the altar together with his partner, and shortly afterwards he ventured into new areas professionally – namely as a TV expert on the Nordic streaming platform Viaplay. Jansrud is rushing from one milestone to the next, and this can also be expected in the future.
