“Here I am”: baby surprise for biathlon couple

A biathlon couple had a very special experience last week: they became parents for the first time. The announcement on social media is extremely amusing.

Together they caused a sensation on the biathlon stage for years, together they announced their departure from the big World Cup circus, together they started a new life. And now the Italian Thomas Bormolini and his Czech girlfriend Eva Puskarcikova were able to welcome their offspring for the first time. Last week her baby Paride Bormolini was born (surprisingly early).

The biathlon couple proved that they have a sense of humor on social media when they announced the success of their offspring. “So here I am,” the entry on Instagram begins. “Two weeks earlier than planned, on April 16th. But this way mom and dad can slowly prepare for the surprises that are about to come. And that everything goes my way from now on.”

Klein Paride saw the light of day last week.

And further: “My name is Paride Bormolini, I'm less than a week old, but I already feel quite comfortable here.” A sweet welcome to the new citizen, who is also well received in the biathlon world. Numerous former companions expressed their congratulations to Bormolini and Puskarcikova.

Numerous successes on the biathlon stage

In any case, little Paride will have enough biathlon genes. His dad Thomas (he comes from Sondalo in Lombardy) reached the World Cup podium three times with Italy's relay team.

Mama Eva celebrated a dozen times from the World Cup podium (including two times in individual races) and also won two medals at major events. In 2014 there was bronze in the relay at the Olympics in Sochi, as was the case in 2020 at the World Championships in Antholz, when the Czech woman came third in the mixed relay. In spring 3, Bormolini and Puskarcikova ended their careers together.
