Christoph Pircher points out again

Christoph Pircher has just started his debut season in the IBU Cup, the second highest biathlon racing series, and he is once again making people sit up and take notice with a top result.

The 20-year-old newcomer from Terlan took tenth place in the sprint race in Idre Fjäll (Sweden) on Friday. Pircher was the best Azzurro in Norway's triple victory led by Johan-Olav Botn. David Zingerle from Antholz took 29th place.

At the first IBU Cup stage in Kontiolahti (Finland), Pircher finished ninth and made it into the top ten for the first time. For him, these are his first ever races in adult biathlon ( Click here for a detailed portrait).
