The Canadian Alex Harvey won the men's 4,5 km prologue in 9:03,4 minutes, beating his compatriot Devon Kershaw (+4,1) and the Norwegian Chris Jespersen (+10,2). . Roland Clara has to miss the start

On Thursday he thought he had recovered, but the fever came back during yesterday's running training and so he had to miss the start. "Now I can only watch the races on television. But I'll keep my fingers crossed for my teammates," regrets Clara, who finished the tour in 5th place overall two years ago.

Debora Agreiter 62nd for women

In the women's prologue over three kilometers, the record World Cup winner Marit Börgen from Norway prevailed in the free technique on Saturday in 6:34,4 minutes ahead of her compatriot Astrid Jacobsen (+ 1,9 seconds). The Tour de Ski, the most important cross-country skiing stage race in the world, started on Saturday with the prologue in Oberhof. There will be six more races in the next eight days, one of which will take place in Toblach around the Nordic Arena.
