Bertagna and the slightly different preparation for the Olympics

The Olympic Games in Beijing are just around the corner. Silvia Bertagna, a local freestyler, is also taking part. However, their preparation for this did not go optimally.

Decades of competitive sports at the highest level leave their mark on every athlete - including Silvia Bertagna. The 34-year-old has had to go under the knife several times in her career, including because of a torn cruciate ligament. The knees have been damaged for years. And so there were no World Cup races on the agenda for Bertagna in the last few weeks, but rather a lot of physiotherapy.
