A German cheers in Innsbruck

Lisa Buckwitz from Germany won the Monobob World Cup race in Innsbruck on Friday morning.

Bobsleigh pilot Lisa Buckwitz from Germany is the monobob winner at the BMW IBSF World Cup in Innsbruck. The third place in the 2023 World Cup won the second race of the winter with two fastest times and the best start time of the race.


Behind Lisa Buckwitz in second place in Innsbruck was fourth-placed Breeana Walker from Australia (0,25 seconds behind). World champion Laura Nolte (Germany) completed the World Cup podium in third place.

Local hero Katrin Beierl from Austria finished eleventh in her comeback in the BMW IBSF World Cup after a year off due to illness. The only Italian, Giada Andreutti, landed in 17th place (+3,67 seconds).

Kaysha Love (USA, 2023 points) defended her lead in the overall ranking for the BMW IBSF World Cup 2024/417. The surprise winner from the World Cup opener in La Plagne a week earlier came fourth in Innsbruck. Breeana Walker (AUS, 394) is second after two of eight races this season, ahead of Lisa Buckwitz (GER, 393) in third place
