The parallel slalom in snowboarding for women and men, which was held for the first time in Sochi last year, fell victim to the introduction of the big air competition and was removed from the Olympic program after just one edition. However, the parallel giant slalom will continue to be held.

For March, PSL cancellation comes out of the blue

The 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang will feature new competitions in snowboarding, alpine skiing, speed skating and curling. The Executive Committee of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) decided and announced this on Monday in Lausanne.
