Krynica: Bormolini on the podium, South Tyroleans come away empty-handed

The parallel giant slalom took place on Sunday at the Snowboard World Cup in Krynica (POL). While 2 Azzurri fought for the podium, the South Tyroleans came away empty-handed.

Maurizio Bormolini and Mirko Felicetti had the chance to climb onto the podium in Krynica. While Bormolini lost the grand final against Arvid Auner (AUT) and had to settle for second place, Felicetti finished the competition in fourth place. The Trentino native lost the small final – also against an Austrian (Alexander Payer).

Aaron March (5th) and Roland Fiwickeler (7th) had to give up in the quarter-finals. Edwin Coratti, however, had already failed in qualifying and Daniele Bagozza was disqualified.

In the women's race, victory went to Tsubaki Miki (JPN). Daniela Ulbing (AUT) and Ladina Jenny (SUI) completed the podium. The best Azzurra was Elisa Caffont in 7th place. Jasmin Coratti was not at the start.
