Now Aaron March also has his podium

The success of the local snowboarders continues at the World Cup in Rogla: On Thursday Aaron March made it onto the podium.

Three Azzurri reached the semi-finals of the World Cup in Slovenia. In the end, however, an Austrian prevailed. 38-year-old Benjamin Karl won the final of the “Oldies” against Aaron March – with a razor-thin margin of 2 hundredths of a second. It was Karl's third win of the season and also extended his lead in the overall World Cup.

March, however, took home his first podium finish in over a year in Rogla. After Daniele Bagozza, Jasmin and Edwin Coratti recently caused a sensation, this time the 37-year-old veteran is there. March had previously beaten Coratti in the semifinals. This time, the Langtaufer native had to settle for fourth place on his “favorite slope”. Bagozza rounded off another strong South Tyrolean result with 4th place. Roland Fischler, however, was not there on Thursday.

No Coratti podium this time

In the women's category, victory went to the young Japanese Tsubaki Miki, who prevailed in the final against Michelle Dekker from the Netherlands. Jasmin Coratti took 10th place in the parallel giant slalom in Rogla after losing out to Italian Elisa Caffont in the round of XNUMX.
