South Tyroleans shine at the Youth Olympics in South Korea

The Youth Olympic Games, i.e. the Olympic Games for young athletes, are currently taking place in Gangwon (South Korea). South Tyrol's tobogganers are in top form.

South Tyrol's luge athletes won three gold medals in Gangwon. Leon Haselrieder secured Olympic victory in the individual. His teammate Philipp Brunner was also on the podium in third place. There was also gold for the men's doubles Manuel Weissensteiner/Philipp Brunner. The women were in no way inferior and the duo Alexandra Oberstolz/Katharina Sofie Kofler also secured the Youth Olympic title. And as if all that wasn't enough, Oberstolz also won bronze in the individual.

Italy's athletes can look forward to two more medals in South Korea. Camilla Vanni was crowned Olympic champion in the Super-G. Nayeli Mariotti Cavagnet took bronze in the women's individual biathlon competition.
