At the European Games in Krakow there was a South Tyrolean exclamation mark in badminton on Tuesday - but not from Yasmine Hamza, who had to admit defeat despite being the favorite.

Hamza also lost the second game at the European Games in Krakow. The Bolzano woman had to admit defeat to the Finnish Nella Nyqvist in two sets (14:21, 19:21). Hamza did not live up to the role of favorite. Judith Mair also suffered a defeat. In the doubles match with Martina Corsini, the South Tyrolean lost to the Ukrainian duo Marija Stoliarenko/Zharka Yelyzaweta in two sets (14:21, 18:21).

David Salutt, on the other hand, was able to experience a sense of success. Together with his doubles partner Giovanni Greco there was a win against Azmy Qowimuramadhoni/Ade Resky Dwicahyo from Azerbaijan. The Azzurri won against their Asian opponents in three sets (21:17, 17:21, 21:17).
