Broncos bring David Ludvík for tryout – Braito extended

The 32-year-old Czech forward David Ludvík will initially only complete one tryout with the Broncos. Ludvík comes from the Czech second division team HC Slovan Úste?tí Lvi and brings a lot of experience with a total of 362 games (117 points) in the Extraliga and 221 second division games (99 points). The 180 cm tall and 86 kg all-rounder has a good nose for goal and was even in the extended squad of his home country before the 2005 World Cup.

Between 2003 and 2006, he took 6th, 5th and 3rd place in the team's internal goalscoring list at Znojmo alongside well-known names such as Ján Pardav?, Peter Pucher, Ji?í Dopita and Marek Uram. For the 2010-11 season he moved to the Czech Elbe in Ústi nad Labem in the second division, where he hunted for goals for the lions of HC Slovan and even shot his way into the top 12 of the league's best goalgetter two years ago.

“A real all-rounder”

Coach Zdenek Travnicek already knows the 32-year-old striker: “He is a player that every coach wants because he is very versatile and can play many different positions. He can play center, left wing and also right wing, he can score goals, he can work and he can also be very effective in a defensive role. Ludvík is a real all-rounder who could give us a lot of flexibility.”

Before that, Ludvík still has to convince the Broncos' board and coaching staff, which he has four weeks to do. Tonight he is training with the team for the first time and will play all friendly games with the Broncos until at least September 10th. He could possibly also be used against Innsbruck on Saturday.

Gunnar Braito remains loyal to the Broncos

Gunnar Braito is entering his second season with the Broncos and will get a taste of the top flight for the first time in his career. In the last second division season he scored 39 goals and 12 assists (20 points) in 32 games, while in the playoffs he managed one goal and one assist in twelve games. In the first league, his speed and agility as well as his qualities as an efficient penalty killer, which he demonstrated in his first year in Wipptal, will be particularly important.

On Monday, the WSV Vipiteno Broncos Weihenstephan announced the contract extension with Gunnar Braito and the signing of Czech striker David Ludvík on a tryout basis.
