The INL hit goes to HC Gröden

The “Furie” took the lead in the 15th minute with Steven Birnstill. He got the goal from Jakub Schejbal and Dylan Stanley. Afterwards, Mark Demetz and his front men closed the doors. The Ladin team's defense lasted until five minutes before the end, when Wilenius brought the Wild Geese back into the game with the equalizer.

By then, Demetz had saved around 30 shots on goal, but then the veteran had to reach behind himself. His counterpart Alex Caffi was tested even more often, namely 48 times, but apart from Birnstill's opening goal, the Neumarkt goalkeeper did not allow another goal.

After Wilenius' equalizer, no further goals were scored in regular time and the game went into extra time. Ivan Demetz scored there in the 63rd minute and turned the Pranives Stadium into a madhouse. Thanks to the victory, the “Furie” extend their lead in the Master Round.

The two South Tyrolean clubs will face each other again on Sunday evening. The match kicks off at 18 p.m. in the Würth Arena.

The INL hit goes to HC Gröden

On Friday evening, two South Tyrolean INL teams were in action in the Master Round. In the Pranives Stadium, leaders Val Gardena and pursuers Neumarkt faced off in the top game in front of 1100 spectators. The game was decided in extra time by a goal from Ivan Demetz.
