After the tough games against Feldkirch and Zell am See, HC Neumarkt really picked up speed in the final. This could prove to be extremely difficult again, because EHC Bregenzerwald will not admit defeat for a long time. The Vorarlbergers were also down 0-2 in the semi-final against Val Gardena, but then turned the tables in their favor.

So Neumarkt has to be on guard to avoid such a resurrection of the “forests” in the endgame. Especially since the Wild Goose will travel to Feldkrich with a handicap. Otherwise, this final series could end very quickly. In game four or five everything would suddenly be open again. We want to avoid that. “

What significance would this historic title win have for HC Neumarkt?

“The significance would be immeasurable. It would be the long-awaited championship title and, on top of that, in an international championship that is not comparable to the former Serie A2. Winning the final would be a well-deserved reward for the numerous helpers in the club, the sponsors, but above all for the players. However, it's still all just a dream. We have to win the match on Saturday.”
