Derby in front of a sold out house

This game captivates ice hockey South Tyrol like no other in a long time: Bolzano welcomes arch-rival Pustertal on the evening of Epiphany. The last tickets just went over the counter.

Three days before the game date, well over 3.000 tickets for the ICE derby had been sold (SportNews berichtete). Since then, the rush for tickets has increased rapidly. Stadium area after stadium area has been filled over the last few hours. It is therefore clear that the Sparkasse Arena will be completely full for the third duel of the season between Foxes and Wolves.

As HC Bozen announced late on Saturday afternoon, all stadium sectors are sold out - including the 170 grandstand seats around the VIP sector in the upper tier, which could be purchased at the stadium ticket offices in the afternoon.

This has never happened before

Around 6856 spectators will attend the derby, setting a new season record in the ICE Hockey League. So far, the Vienna-Klagenfurt game in October was the most attended ICE match with 5100 fans. This is the first time since it opened in 1994 that the ice rink in the south of Bolzano has reported that a regular-season game is “sold out”.
