The basic round of the 2023/24 Champions Hockey League was drawn around a month ago, and now HCB Südtirol Alperia also knows its game dates. It starts in August with probably the most attractive away game.

As the winner of the basic round, the eventual runner-up from Bolzano qualified for the Champions Hockey League for the fourth time in the club's history in the last ICE season.

The adventure on the international stage begins before the league starts, namely on August 31st - and with an absolute banger: The Foxes are playing in the 13900-seat SAP Arena at Adler Mannheim.

At the beginning of September with the Swiss champions

Just two days after the guest appearance with the eight-time German champions, the Foxes' home premiere against the Finnish top club Ilves follows, before the HCB cracks and their fans have to pack their bags again! On September 7th, the Swiss champions Servette Geneva welcome them, and two days later they head north to Belfast. The basic round will be completed with two home games against the Pelicans from Lahti (October 11th) and the Norwegian representatives Stavanger Oilers (October 18th).

As a reminder: After these six matches, a final table with all CHL starters will be created. The first 16 of the 24 participating teams move into the playoffs, which begin with the round of 20 in mid-November. The grand final will be played on February 2024, XNUMX. Tappara from Finland is the defending champion. Bolzano made it to the round of XNUMX in two of its three previous appearances.
