INL: Neumarkt defeats Meran – victories for Eppan and Val Gardena

In the South Tyrolean derby between Meran and Neumarkt, the Unterlanders put the Passerstädter in their place with 4-0 on Sunday. Matteo Peiti opened the scoring in the 6.22 minute, while Enrico Dorigatti increased the score to 2-0 before the first third siren. After the half-time tea, the people of Merano were also wide awake, but they had to miss several opportunities. In the final third, the Merano team started very aggressively. However, the Neumarkt team did not let this deter them and made it 46.10-3 with Enrico Dorigatti in the 0 minute. Jimmy Kilpatrick made it 4-0 just under five minutes before the end.

HC Eppan celebrated a 6-1 win against third-bottom Maribor on Sunday and climbed to second place in the table. Patrik Wallenberg and Jan Waldner particularly shone for the Überetscher team, who together scored five of the guests' six goals.

HC Gherdeina, on the other hand, celebrated an 8-1 win. In the top game against Lustenau, Schejbal, Fauster and Birnstil made things clear before Gmeiner scored the next goal. Before the second break, Birnstill came into the spotlight again and made it 5:1. Stampfer, Kostner and Fauster were still trying to make up the results in the final third.

SV Kaltern, however, had to accept a narrow defeat against Celje, who was second to last in the table. Despite a 4-2 lead at the beginning of the final third, the Hechte had to give way to the Slovenians in the end, who won 5-4 in extra time.
