INL: Neumarkt and Meran are losing ground

HC Neumarkt came away empty-handed in the home game against table first team EK Zell am See. Both teams offered a thrilling duel at eye level in front of around 700 spectators. In the end, the decisive factor was Salzburg's better use of opportunities, which made it 2-0 in the first third. The HCN was able to equalize to 2-2 with Michael Sullmann and Paolo Bustreo, but Wilfran and Rataj sealed the guests' 4-2 coup with an empty-net goal in the final period.

HC Meran also played well and won nothing in the difficult away game against the traditional club Feldkirch. The Eagles kept the game open until the end, but lacked the necessary coolness in front of the opponent's goal. Only Daniele Delladio hit the mark. Meanwhile, the Vorarlbergers placed the hard rubber disc in the Meran housing twice and ultimately celebrated a hard-fought 2-1 victory.

Meanwhile, HC Gherdeina scored the full points. The Ladins won 3-2 against EHC Bregenzerwald in the Pranives Stadium. Despite a strong performance, the home team had to fear victory until the very end, as last year's champions always had something to counter the goals of Gabriel Vinatzer, Fabio Kostner and Fabian Costa. In the end, however, the HCG defense withstood the pressure.

On Saturday evening, three South Tyrolean clubs were in action in the Intern National League. However, only HC Gherdeina, who won their home game against EHC Bregenzerwald, were able to achieve a sense of success.
