The state cup quarterfinals are complete

The eight quarter-finalists of the domestic national cup have been determined: On Wednesday evening, Natz and Bozner FC secured their ticket to the round of the last 8.

After a light pole broke down at halftime a week ago, the game between Gitschberg Jochtal and Bozner FC continued on Wednesday. And this one had it all. The regional league team bravely stood up to the upper league team before they prevailed 2-1 in a turbulent final phase. Christian Vecchio equalized in the 78th minute - just three turns of the pointer after the 1-0 - before the guests scored the lucky punch in the 89th minute, which meant promotion to the quarter-finals.

In the second game of the evening, in which two teams from the 1st Amateur League B, Natz and Albeins, faced each other, there was a favorite victory. The leaders didn't give the latecomers the slightest chance with a 3-0 win. Double goalscorer Maximilian Hofer became the match winner. The quarterfinals take place on Wednesday, April 17th. The draw will take place beforehand.
