He's back: Pat Morini's return to amateur football

He is considered one of the most colorful personalities in South Tyrolean amateur football. After a short absence, Patrizio Morini is now returning to the coaching bench.

As has been leaked, Morini will be the new coach at SSV Brixen. The club does not want to comment on this yet, but it is clear that the two parties have reached an agreement. Morini is supposed to create a new beginning for the relegated Oberliga team. Ten days ago, Brixen was relegated from the regional football upper echelon for the first time in 23 years.

The special irony of history: When Brixen was promoted to the top league in the 1999/2000 season, Patrizio Morini, of all people, was sitting in the coaching bench. Now he should lead the traditional club from the Isarco Valley back into the ranks of the big boys.

A guarantee of success

He showed that Morini is a guarantee of success, especially in St. Georgen, where he won numerous titles and led the Puster club into Serie D twice. A year ago, his involvement with the Jergina came to an end after 12 seasons, and Morini then tried his hand at the Umbria league, but it ended at the end of October.

In recent weeks, the famous coach has been a hot stock in the transfer market, being discussed by several clubs. The SSV Brixen has now won, who separated from coach Kurt Forer after the end of the season.
