Football boss Klaus Schuster: “South Tyrol can tolerate more Serie D clubs”

Football in South Tyrol is on the rise. The euphoria surrounding FC Südtirol is helping to ensure that quality is also increasing in the amateur sector. However, many clubs are hesitant when it comes to making the leap to higher levels. S+ spoke to South Tyrol's highest football official Klaus Schuster.

Before the start of the Oberliga at the weekend, s+ spoke to Klaus Schuster about football in South Tyrol. The quality is getting better and better - also because of FC Südtirol - but there are problems in the youth sector and many other dangers. Klaus Schuster revealed in an interview what these are and why South Tyrol tolerates more higher-class clubs. He also gives a forecast for the second half of the league.
