After the goal gala: Partschins can plan for the top league

This state league Saturday was tough! A whopping 26 goals were scored in the six matches in the second highest domestic amateur league. The big winner of the third to last round: ASV Partschins, who are racing towards the championship title.

There are still 180 minutes left before Partschins' long-held dream of the top league could come true. The red-blacks celebrated a spectacular 6-2 win against Schenna and are now four points ahead of the competition in the final spurt. What was impressive was the strength of nerves that the Partschins team showed after their direct pursuers presented on Saturday afternoon.

The arch-rival and second in the table from Naturns had also set off offensive fireworks in their away game in Mühlbach. He won 5:1. Thomas Nischler, Fabian Nischler and Lukas Schöpf had shot the Naturns team to a 3-1 lead before Michael Cia put the lid on it with a free kick and Alex Spechtenhauser with a penalty in the final phase. The seventh-placed Gitschberg Jochtal, who finished the game with nine men after Maxi Oberhofer and Bogdan Turcanu were excluded, had nothing to counter this.

Naturns and Bruneck presented the proposal

SSV Bruneck, who are in the same position as Naturns in the table, also impressively presented ASV Partschins. The Pusterers defeated Salurn 2-0 with goals from Aaron Falkensteiner and Lukas Hochwieser. While Bruneck has a minimal chance of winning the title, things could get tricky again for fourth-from-bottom Salurn in the relegation battle. As a reminder: At the end of the season, three teams have to go to the 1st amateur league.

The Partschinser journey could take place in the opposite direction. Unimpressed by the successes of Naturns and Bruneck, the Lower Vinschgers unleashed a real firework of goals against Schenna. The 6:2 was the fifth win in a row. The outstanding man on the pitch was Daniel Lanthaler, who scored a four-pack and scored his goals of the season 11 to 14.

Lanthaler scores four times

After the once again strong Olaf Stark immediately equalized the guests' lead to 1-1, Lanthaler single-handedly led his team to victory. Schenna was able to temporarily reduce the score to 2:3, but two more Lanthaler goals and a goal from Sebastian Kuen finally made it 6:2. Partschins can now win the title away from home against St. Martin Moos with a win next weekend.

Meanwhile, Leifers had to definitely say goodbye to the championship race. The Unterlanders had to settle for a 1-1 draw in Milland at the end of a turbulent game with two goals and two red cards. The other two Saturday games also ended in a draw: the two relegated teams Passeier and Albeins drew 2-2, as did the two midfield teams Ridnauntal and Terlan.
