St. Pauli says goodbye with a double victory

FC St. Pauli will leave its training camp home in the Passeier Valley on Sunday. Before that, the Kiezkickers celebrated two more victories – within just a few hours.

On Saturday afternoon, St. Pauli won a test kick against Azerbaijani first division club Sabah FK 4-1 (SportNews reported), just three hours later they defeated Arminia Bielfeld 2-0. Both friendly matches were played at the Hugo Ciatti Stadium in St. Martin in Passeier.

Although it was 30 degrees in the Psair afternoon sun, St. Pauli had to sweat significantly more against the second division relegated team from Bielefeld than they had just before in their first opener, but in the end the brown and white team safely secured their sixth victory in their sixth test match, their third on South Tyrolean soil a. In front of 350 spectators, Johannes Eggestein (25th) and Adam Dzwigała (58th) scored the goals. In the early stages, Arminia striker Nicklas Shipnoski failed with a penalty against Hamburg substitute goalkeeper Sascha Burchert (6th).

For St. Pauli, this was a completely successful conclusion to the ten-day training camp in the Passeier Valley. The ambitious second division team will leave St. Leonhard on Sunday. At the same time, Arminia will break down its tents in the Pustertal. The East Westphalians spent over a week in Kiens preparing for the upcoming third division season.
