Even Roma's new superstar can't stop Milan

Milan remains flawless this Serie A season. The Milanese also won the third game and defeated Roma 2-1. Even star new acquisition Romelu Lukaku couldn't work any miracles for the capital city team.

“This is your Colosseum”: With these words, Roma's stadium announcer introduced the new superstar Romelu Lukaku to the fans before the Milan game. However, the Belgian did not start from the start and only came onto the field midway through the second half. At that point, Roma were already chasing a 0-2 deficit.

In the first half, Olivier Giroud gave his Milan team the lead with a penalty (9th minute), and immediately after the break, Rafael Leao increased the lead to 2-0 with an artistic touch (48th minute). Afterwards, Milan's defender Tomori saw a yellow-red card, but even the numerical superiority and the substitution of Lukaku did not lead to Roma's equalizer. Leonardo Spinazzola's goal in stoppage time came too late.

So Milan remains flawless in the third game of the season and keeps the full points tally. Roma, on the other hand, only gets a measly point. As a result, Jose Mourinho's team is in the third-to-last relegation spot.
