Juventus gets away with a black eye

The 33rd Serie A matchday opened on Friday evening. Juventus was also in action and experienced a rollercoaster of emotions.

After a very weak first half against Cagliari, Juventus escaped with a black eye in the end. The Turin team drew 2-2 with the Sardinians and are still on course for the Champions League. The newcomer, who is coached by coaching legend Claudio Ranieri, can also be satisfied with the point, after all, staying in the league is getting closer and closer.

But it could have been three points for Cagliari. After the first half, the Sardinians were 2-0 ahead thanks to penalty goals from Gaetano and Mina. Juventus only woke up after half-time and came close with a free kick goal from Vlahovic (61'). In the end it was a late own goal from Dossena (87th, he sent a cross into his own goal) that sealed the 2-2 equalizer.

Juve are hoping for the Coppa Italia

The Serie A title has been lost for Juventus for a long time, but the Turin team can hope for a different pot. Max Allegri's team is doing well in the Italian Cup. The first leg of the semi-final against Lazio was won 2-0, and the second leg will take place in Rome on Tuesday.
