The English week could hardly have gone better for the FCS. After captain Fabian Tait and Co. had recently left the field as winners against Arzignano (1-0) and Fermana (3-0), the white-reds went after relegation candidate Fano and scored their fourth “threesome” of the season at the top of the table.

FCS coach Stefano Vecchi trusted the same team that had put Fermana in its place on Wednesday. Fabbri, Vinetot, Polak and Ierardi (he had to make way for Davì early on when he was injured) formed the defensive line, while Morosini, Berardocco and captain Tait played in the three-man midfield. On the offensive, Casiraghi was used as a tenth behind the two leaders Petrella and Mazzocchi.
