The lessons from the cup defeat

The worm is in the attack. Despite top-class scoring opportunities in the first half of the cup final against Padova, FC Südtirol had to hand over their first title of the season to their rivals. The 0-1 defeat is not a broken leg. At the end of this season, the FCS will only be measured by what it achieves in the championship. If the White-Reds want to defend first place, they finally have to take advantage of their chances again.

It was a foretaste of the league banger on April 16th. The cup final between FCS and Padova on Wednesday evening in the Drususstadion in Bolzano confirmed the trend of the last few weeks: FC Südtirol does not have a crisis in terms of play, but it does have a crisis in results.
