Alexander Oberhofer is named vice-champion of Italy

Alexander Oberhofer from Terlan achieved an impressive success at the Italian Adult Taekwondo Championships in Ancona last weekend.

Oberhofer confidently won three fights on Sunday and won the title of Italian vice champion in the -87 kg category.

In the quarterfinals he won 2-0 rounds, in the semifinals he narrowly lost in the first round, but was able to win the second and third rounds and thus won the decisive fight for a place in the final against Attilio Ventola. Oberhofer only had to admit defeat in the final. In total he was able to outperform 9 athletes in his category.

Noah Wenin from Vilpian from ASV Taekwondo Südtirol-Eurotherm also took part in the A-Class Italian Championship. Despite good preparation, he was eliminated from the tournament in the first fight against the eventual finalist De Rosa.
