Kurtatsch martial artists win

The Taekwondo Royal Cup recently took place in Biella (Piedmont). An Olympic Taekwondo tournament in which a total of 766 athletes from 3 nations took part.

Markus Zadra (80) from ASV Zadra fighting/rothobaas offered a brilliant performance in the +59 kg heavyweight class of the Masters black belts, winning two fights in an impressive manner. Zadra also confidently prevailed against opponents 15 years his junior, winning two rounds out of two each and winning gold.


Like his teammate, Gabriele Cera also impressed in the -80 kg weight class of the Masters black belt class and won the day by winning a fight.

In the A class of men's black belts -87 kg, Alexander Zadra had to narrowly admit defeat by one point in the final and took silver. Thomas Mittermair won bronze in the red belt B class.
