Muay Thai: Righi and Pircher can cheer

Desireè Righi and Magdalena Pircher are South Tyrol's figureheads in Muay Thai. The two martial artists won new titles at the Hotel Sheraton in Bolzano.

Magdalena Pircher competed against Alessia Muroni for the Mediterranean title. The Bolzano woman made short work of her competitor. After 2 rounds - a fight can last 5 rounds - Muroni gave up, exhausted and Pircher secured the belt.

Desireè Righi was also able to win a belt at the event, which was organized by the Bolzano fight studio “Noi Muay Thai”. The Passirian, who was previously a talented footballer, defeated her opponent Marika Pagliaroli after a 5-round fight. Righi is now the reigning Italian champion.
