Taekwondo: Rain of medals in Sicily

At the Italian Championships in Sicily, ASV Zadra fighting was able to convince across the board. The result was four medals.

With a total of four medals at the Master Black Belt Italian Championship, the red belt and U18 competitions, the ASV Zadra fighting in Bagheria on Sicily was extremely successful. Markus Zadra (+80 kg) won the silver medal and Peter Möltner came fifth in the same category. Gabriele Cera (-80 kg) secured bronze with his third place.

The only 14-year-old Thomas Mittermair provided an outstanding performance and at the same time probably the biggest surprise in Sicily. Although he was the youngest participant in his class, he won the quarter-finals and later the semi-finals. He only had to admit defeat in the final and ended up winning silver in the U-18 youth category.
