Bolzano's track and field athletes shine in the hall

Strong performances from the two flagships of Athletic Club 96 Bozen, Federico Lorenzo Bruno and Alberto Murari, who won gold and bronze respectively at the U20 and U23 Italian Indoor Championships in Ancona.

U23 triple jumper Bruno won his top discipline with a sensational 16.26 m, improving his previous record by an impressive 24 centimeters. Bruno reached 16.15 m on his first attempt, then he reached 16.26 m. This was also a new national record. Alex Fabbri (15.46) and Kelvy Bruno Okunbor (15.38) completed the podium.

High jumper Alberto Murari, who like Bruno competes for the Bolzano club, also climbed onto the podium. The U23 athlete crossed 2.08 m, which was enough for third place. Murari was at the top for a long time, but in the end had to admit defeat to neo-Italian champion Edoardo Stronati (3 m) and Andrea Magnano (also 2.10).

Middle-distance runner Federico Mogetti finished fifth in the 800 m in 1:54.01 minutes. Marie Burger from Vahrn, who competes for SSV Brixen, timed the 60 m hurdles in 8.73 seconds (new season's best time), which ultimately meant 7th place. Roberta Giovanelli had to settle for 60st place over 7.86 m in 21 seconds.

The only two U20 athletes, Agata D'Angelo from SG Eisacktal and Kevin Lubello from CSS Leonardo da Vinci, finished 11th and 17th respectively in the 400 m and 60 m hurdles.
