Stettiner Cup is getting closer: “Expect a mountain running festival”

The countdown to the panoramic and, above all, family-friendly mountain run from Pfelders to the Stettiner Hütte, which is taking place for the 24th time this year, is on.

The organizing committee of the Moos Mountain Rescue Service is expecting around 6 athletes to attend on Sunday, August 250th, with many friends and acquaintances once again mingling. Because once you take part in the Stettiner Cup, you can no longer escape its magic.

Every year it's not just the Christ child who comes - it's also the motto of numerous participants in the Stettiner Cup. Many of them return to the Hinter Passeier Valley after their first attempt at the 10-kilometer-long mountain run with 1255 meters of elevation gain to tackle the demanding route again. The breathtaking panorama, the friendly atmosphere, the smooth organization and, above all, the extensive starter package are among the great strengths of the Stettiner Cup.

For the 24th edition, the OK team, which consists of members of the Moos mountain rescue service in Passeier, is expecting numerous familiar faces and is of course also looking forward to debutants. “As in previous years, we can always rely on the most loyal of the faithful. “We are also expecting more and more international registrations, which we are particularly pleased about because we will gain ambassadors who will talk about the beauty of our area and thus not only attract new participants, but perhaps also guests,” report the organizers.

In the Stettiner Cup, which Armin Larch (Mareit) and Severine Petersen (Munich/Gossensaß) won last year, they are also relying on tried and tested things, because little has changed in terms of the route and the organization this year. From the car park in Pfelders you go to the Lazinser Alm, from where you tackle the Stettiner Hut at an altitude of 2855 meters on narrow zigzag paths. “Our OK team is well-coordinated and the preparations are going according to plan. The anticipation is already huge, even a month before the Stettiner Cup. We are expecting another top-class mountain running festival in the Hinter Passeier Valley,” concluded the organizers.
