Extremely strong World Cup qualification from Veronika Widmann

At the Cycling World Championships in Scotland, Traminer Veronika Widmann achieved a very strong qualification.

The downhiller landed in fifth place in the qualifying on Friday. She was eight seconds behind the fastest Valentina Höll (Austria), followed by Tanhee Seagrave (Great Britain), Marine Cabirou (France) and Gloria Scarsi (Italy).


With this performance, Widmann has definitely shown that she is a force to be reckoned with at the race on Saturday. The medals will be awarded in Fort William from 13.30 p.m. With Veronika Widmann, who is one of the medal contenders.

Also in action at the weekend are Fabian Rabensteiner and Sandra Mairhofer, who are both taking part in the marathon race. Mairhofer competes as the newly crowned Italian champion, Rabensteiner is one of the dangerous outsiders among the men. The two races take place on Sunday morning.
