Seiwald in Portes Soleil without a sense of success

The mountain bike World Cup circus stopped in France this weekend in Portes Soleil. There was no sense of success for the South Tyroleans Veronika Widmann and Greta Seiwald.

Greta Seiwald finished 33rd in the cross-country race in Portes Soleil (+8,31 minutes). Mona Mitterwallner (1.14,51:38 hours) from Austria won the competition ahead of Puck Pieterse from the Netherlands (+1,14 seconds) and Pauline Ferrand Prevot from France (+XNUMX minutes).


Veronika Widmann (4.08,28:XNUMX minutes) was eliminated in the semi-finals in the downhill event on Saturday. The local hero Marine Cabirou (3.47,39) won the final. Monika Hrastnik (+3,979 seconds) from Slovenia came second, while Germany's Nina Hoffmann (+4,417) completed the podium.

The two cyclists will continue from September 27th to October 1st in Snowshoe in the USA.
