IOC boss Bach confirms: Sanctions against Russia and Belarus remain

IOC President Thomas Bach has opposed discussions about easing or even lifting sanctions against Russia and Belarus because of the war of aggression against Ukraine. “These sanctions against the Russian and Belarusian states and governments must and will continue to exist,” said the 69-year-old German in his New Year’s speech.
