State championship title awarded in artistic gymnastics

This year's VSS/Raiffeisen state championship for girls and boys in the lower school took place on Sunday, February 4th, 2024. VSS speaker Lisa Ladurner welcomed a total of 16 boys and 130 girls to the Lana gym.

Among the boys, SV Lana was clearly ahead and was able to win the national championship titles in all categories. The girls fought a sometimes close neck-and-neck race, with two clubs in particular standing out.

SV Lana won four gold, two silver and two bronze medals and Ritten Sport won one gold, four silver and two bronze medals. Brixen also won two gold medals and Merano won one gold medal.

Some guests of honor could also be seen in the spectator stands, including Valentina Andreis, deputy mayor of Lana, Jürgen Zöggeler, sports officer of Lana, as well as the board members of the VSS Thomas Ladurner and Martin Unterholzer.

They were impressed by the enthusiasm and connection to the sport that was evident throughout the tournament. “It was impressive how much joy the boys and girls bring to gymnastics,” said speaker Lisa Ladurner at the award ceremony.
