Giovanni Oradini beat number 1 seed Matyhs Erhard from France 4:6, 6:3 and 7:6 in the final. Overall, the thrilling final between the 25-year-old from Rovereto and the 21-year-old top favorite lasted 3:22 hours.

Oradini, number 423 in the world, was already leading 6-0 in the final tiebreak and therefore had six match points. Erhard, number 342 in the world, fended off one and clearly lost out in the end with 1:7 points.
