Lisa Vittozzi now has all the trump cards in her hand. The Azzurra showed one of the best performances of the season in the pursuit on Saturday and deservedly took the win. Behind her, two French women, Lou Jeanmonnot (2nd) and Justine Braisaz-Bouchet (3rd), landed on the podium.

Vittozzi was clearly the best biathlete of the day. She remained clean in the first three shootings, only making one mistake in the last shooting. But her competitors from France made significantly more mistakes, and that's why Vittozzi was able to easily run to victory. It was her fifth win of the season, fourth in the World Cup.

If Tandrevold wins on Sunday, Vittozzi will have to place at least 12th. Then nothing stands in the way of winning the overall World Cup crystal ball.
