Alex Vinatzer shows off in the giant slalom

A men's giant slalom will take place in Aspen (USA) on Friday. Alex Vinatzer demonstrated this in the first round.

While Vinatzer's slalom form was already better, the man from Val Gardena has taken a huge step forward in the giant slalom this year. The man from Val Gardena also showed this in Aspen. Halfway through the race, “Vinnie” is in 8rd place. The South Tyrolean showed a courageous race with start number 23 and lost just 8 tenths to the leader Marco Odermatt.


However, the Swiss has Alexander Steen Olsen (+0,12 seconds) from Norway breathing down his neck. Odermatt's compatriot Loic Meillard (+0,19) is also still within striking distance.
