This is what is currently happening with South Tyrol's ski aces

It's hot and hardly anyone wants to think about the coming winter with these summer temperatures. For the ski aces, the hot months are the time when the foundation stone is laid for the upcoming 2023/24 Ski World Cup season. But what are Christof Innerhofer & Co. actually doing right now?

The best speed riders in Italy are training on the Stelvio Pass over the weekend. Christof Innerhofer, Mattia Casse, Pietro Zazzi, Nicolò Molteni and Benjamin Alliod arrived this Friday and will stay until Monday. The program includes snow training with the trainers of the World Cup elite group. Dominik Paris, who is currently preparing individually for the new season, is not there.

By the way: The speed start is taking place unusually early this year. The premiere of the new departure between Zermatt and Cervinia will take place on November 11th and 12th. Then we head to North America. However, Lake Louise recently left the World Cup calendar.

Christof Innerhofer trains with the speed team on the Stelvio Pass.

Some of the Italian ski women around Nadia and Nicol Delago, Karoline Pichler, Laura Pirovano and Roberta Melesi can look forward to a weekend off. This is because they are returning from a 6-day altitude training camp in Livigno on Friday. Dry training and fitness were on the agenda there.
