The Schmidt siblings are the measure of all things in Arosa

After his strong start to the season in Val Thorens, ski crosser Dominik Zuech was unable to repeat this result in the first race in Arosa (SUI). But another Azzurro ended up far ahead. The Schmidt siblings from Canada are cheering.

In the round of 23 it was over for Zuech in Arosa. The ski crosser from Lana ended up in 3rd place, making him number 20 on his team. The best Azzurro on Tuesday in Arosa was Federico Tomasoni, who first had to admit defeat in the semi-finals and then won the small final. Simone Deromedis took XNUMXth place. Yannick Gunsch from Upper Vinschger was unable to qualify.

The victory in Arosa went to Jared Schmidt. The Canadian prevailed in a close final against his compatriot Reece Howden (2nd), Erik Mobärg (3rd/SWE) and Tobias Müller (4th/GER).

There was no Italian at the start among the women. Curious: Hannah Schmidt (she is Jared Schmidt's sister) won the final with almost no resistance. Her competitors all gradually dropped out. First Marielle Berger Sabbatel (FRA) got hit, then Marielle Thompson (CAN) and Christina Födermayr (AUT) crashed together and also didn't see the finish flag.
