Good end to the season for Alex Insam in Planica

Alex Insam said goodbye to the 2/2023 World Cup season with two strong flights on the large hill in Planica. The last victory in the “Valley of the Ski Jumps” went to Austria.

The 2023/24 ski jumping season is history. Daniel Huber from Austria secured victory on Sunday in Planica with two huge sets of 2 and 247 meters. Local hero Domen Prevc took second place, ahead of Poland's Aleksander Zniszczol.


There was a conciliatory end to the season for Alex Insam. The man from Val Gardena sailed 226,5 meters in the first round and was therefore in 17th place at the break. In the final (223 meters) Insam had to give up one place, which is why he ended up in 18th place. Insam's teammate Giovanni Bresadola did not start on Sunday. The Italian injured himself in a crash in Planica on Saturday a serious injury moved.
