Next victory: South Tyrolean snowboarder reaches for the stars

Daniele Bagozza is having the season of his life: the Val Gardena native proved this once again at the World Cup on Simonhöhe (Austria).

Bagozza took his 5th World Cup victory on Saturday and his 3rd this winter. The 28-year-old beat Benjamin Karl in the final. At the same time, Bagozza shortened the gap to Karl in the overall World Cup. Nothing seems impossible for the South Tyrolean this year.

In the small final, Roland Filehner had to admit defeat to Fabian Obmann. “Fisch” therefore ended up in 4th place. The 43-year-old was exactly as fast as Karl in the semi-finals, but was left behind due to his slower qualifying time. This time Aaron March and Edwin Coratti had to admit defeat in the round of XNUMX.

First podium place for Italian

Sabine Schöffmann took the home win for the women. The 24-year-old Italian Elisa Caffont beat Michelle Dekker in the small final and reached the podium for the first time in her career. The South Tyrolean Jasmin Coratti was eliminated in the round of XNUMX against the Dutch Dekker.
