Point loss & 1st goal conceded: Cagliari slows down Juventus

Juventus suffered a setback early on Sunday afternoon. The Turin team could only manage a draw at home against Cagliari.

Juventus kept a clean sheet for 88 minutes in their home match against Cagliari. Then it was Romanian European Championship driver Razvan Marin who conceded the Bianconeri's first goal of the season with a penalty. Juve's new signing Douglas Luiz was responsible for the penalty and thus experienced another bitter afternoon after he had already caused a penalty against Leipzig on Tuesday.

Juventus was overwhelmingly superior to Cagliari, had 76 percent possession, played 3,18 xG and still had to leave the field with just one point. Goalgetter Dusan Vlahovic converted a handball penalty early on (15th minute). The Serb then failed to seal the deal. This came back to haunt him in the final phase, when Marin first equalized (88th minute) and then Francisco Conceicao was sent off with a second yellow card for diving (89th minute).
