Neymar wins on Saudi Arabia debut

Brazilian soccer star Neymar made his debut in the Saudi Arabian professional league for his new club Al-Hilal on Friday.

The 31-year-old came on as a second-half substitute and played the final 26 minutes in the 6-1 win over Al-Riyadh. Neymar, who moved from Paris Saint-Germain to the former Asian champions for 90 million euros, recorded an assist. Al-Hilal is leading the table with 16 points after six rounds.

Neymar followed the transfer call from Saudi Arabia in August and is now a teammate of other former professionals from Europe's top leagues. The best-known names are Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (came from Lazio), Bono (former Sevilla goalkeeper) and Kalidou Koulibaly (Chelsea and Napoli).
