A familiar image in the recent past: Max Reinthaler with crutches
Reinthaler: “Professional football is a tough business”
Max Reinthaler is 22 years old and a professional soccer player at FC Augsburg. However, his career is very different to that of many other young kickers. He got around a lot, played for Udinese in the Europa League, and occasionally played for the Bavarian village club TSV Gersthofen and Rydaholm GOIF in Sweden's fifth division. In the constant ups and downs of his career, there has only been one constant: injuries. A torn cruciate ligament is currently keeping him out of the Bundesliga. We spoke to Reinthaler during a home visit to Lagundo.
